Felicitas Woll

Felicitas Woll (born 20 January 1980 in Homberg, Hesse, West Germany) is a celebrated German actress whose career has spanned television, film, and stage since the late 1990s. Growing up in the small village of Harbshausen, she initially pursued an apprenticeship as a nurse before a chance encounter with theatrical agent Frank Oliver Schulz redirected her ambitions toward acting. After a successful casting for the popular RTL series Die Camper, she remained on the show for three seasons, gaining early exposure and honing her comedic timing. Determined to refine her craft, Woll enrolled in acting lessons at the Düsseldorfer Tanzhaus under the guidance of Wladimir Matuchin, while also cultivating musical talents on piano, guitar, and keyboards, which later informed several of her performance choices. Her breakout film role came in Dennis Gansel’s Mädchen, Mädchen (2001), which opened doors to more prominent parts, most notably the beloved character “Lolle” in the ARD evening series Berlin, Berlin (2002‑2005). The sitcom earned critical acclaim, securing the Deutscher Fernsehpreis (2002), the Adolf‑Grimme‑Preis (2003), and the Rose d’Or (2004), and Woll herself received an International Emmy nomination in 2004 for her vibrant portrayal. In 2005 she starred as Anna Mauth in the ZDF co‑production Dresden, a poignant wartime drama that showcased her dramatic depth and earned the Bayerischer Fernsehpreis in 2006. Beyond screen work, Woll has contributed to social causes, notably supporting individuals with Down syndrome through a poster campaign that highlighted her brother Tassilo’s experience. She welcomed her first child, daughter Taisha Valentina, in February 2006, and later expanded her portfolio with roles such as the fairy‑like Wörterfee on the German Sesamstraße and the historic figure Bertha Benz in Carl & Bertha (2011). Today she continues to balance family life with an active presence in German television, maintaining a reputation for versatility, warmth, and a commitment to socially relevant projects.
