Emilio Solfrizzi

Emilio Solfrizzi is an Italian actor and comedian whose career spans more than three decades, renowned for his energetic stage presence and comedic timing. Born on 5 April 1962 in Bari, Italy, he pursued a degree in performing arts at the University of Bologna, graduating in 1985 and immediately immersing himself in the vibrant Italian comedy circuit. Together with his former classmate Antonio Stornaiolo, he created the comedy duo Toti e Tata, a partnership that quickly gained popularity across Italy’s theatrical venues and established Solfrizzi as a household name in live entertainment. In the late 1990s, the pair transitioned to television, appearing on the popular variety show Striscia la Notizia where Solfrizzi introduced the memorable character Linguetta, a role that showcased his talent for witty improvisation and broadened his audience beyond the theatre. After the duo dissolved, Solfrizzi launched a successful solo career, blending acting with his comedic roots, and became a regular presence in both film and television.
