Ellen Dorrit Petersen

Ellen Dorrit Petersen, born on 4 December 1975, is a prominent Norwegian actress. Originally hailing from the humble town of Tau, she sought out professional opportunities in Oslo. There, she underwent academic training at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts, a prestigious art institution in the country. Petersen's initial acting stint was at the Rogaland Teater between 2005 and 2006, later transitioning to Det Norske Teatret, a leading Norwegian theater. Her cinematic debut materialized in 2008 with 'Troubled Water', a lauded drama film that kickstarted her on-screen journey. Over the years, she has graced the big screen as well as television, donning lead characters in productions like the 2014 film 'Blind', ITV's 'Aber Bergen', and the Netflix series 'Borderliner'. Her acting prowess has been recognized with numerous nominations and wins, including two Amanda Awards, one Kanon, and one Gullruten award. Apart from her illustrious career, Petersen is married to music composer Ola Fløttum and the couple has been blessed with a son and a daughter.
