Born on October 13, 1983, in Paradise, California, she grew up in Northern California before moving to Los Angeles to study theater at Chapman University, where she honed her acting chops and discovered a passion for voice work. Her early on‑screen experience includes short web films such as Living Like Fire (2004) and a role in the feature 201 Hells (2008), which marked her debut in anime dubbing. After a guest appearance as Abby on the television series Criminal Minds, Maxwell relocated to Austin, Texas, a move that proved pivotal as she was encouraged to pursue more voice‑over opportunities.
