Dan Ewing

Daniel M. Ewing (born 3 June 1985) is an Australian actor best known for his long‑running roles on the popular soap opera Home and Away and the Power Rangers franchise. Raised in Manly and later in Forestville, he is the eldest of four children and displayed an early interest in performance while attending Marist Catholic College North Shore, where he participated in numerous school musical productions. In addition to his theatrical pursuits, Ewing excelled in sports, playing representative basketball for Manly Warringah and traveling with his team to the United States and Canada for state championships. After a brief stint studying in the Open Program at NIDA, he broke into television in 2003, landing guest spots on series such as Blue Water High, Spirited and Rescue: Special Ops before securing his first significant role as Dillon, the Black RPM Ranger, in Power Rangers RPM. Ewing returned to Home and Away in 2010, this time as the charismatic and volatile Heath Braxton, a performance that propelled him to national fame and earned him a place in the show’s most memorable line‑ups. He debuted as Heath in February 2011 and remained a central figure until his 2013 departure, later reprising the role for several feature‑length specials and a 2016 comeback. Beyond soap operas, he has diversified his résumé with roles in the horror film Beast No More, the sci‑fi action picture Occupation and its sequel Occupation: Rainfall, as well as a supporting turn in Love and Monsters. His personal life has been equally public; he married model Marni Little in 2012, with whom he has a son, and after their 2016 split he became engaged to actress Kat Risteska, welcoming a daughter in 2022. Throughout his career, Ewing has been noted for his dynamic screen presence, athletic background, and commitment to charitable causes such as the St Vincent de Paul Society, where his mother volunteers.
