Connor Trinneer

Connor Wyatt Trinneer is an American film, stage, and television actor best known for his iconic role as Charles “Trip” Tucker III on Star Trek: Enterprise. Born on March 19, 1969 in Walla Walla, Washington, he spent much of his childhood in Kelso, Washington, where he attended elementary and middle schools before graduating from Kelso High School. He pursued higher education at Pacific Lutheran University in Parkland, playing college football while earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting, and later honed his craft with a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Missouri–Kansas City. Trinneer’s professional journey began on stage, gaining early attention at the Huntington Theater Company in Boston’s Arcadia series and maintaining a long‑term relationship with Hollywood’s Circle X Theatre Company. His television break came with guest spots on One Life to Live, Sliders, and Touched by an Angel, as well as a notable performance as the conflicted gay officer Bob Munger in the TV adaptation of A.R. Gurney’s Far East. In 2001, despite not being a science‑fiction fan, he auditioned for Star Trek: Enterprise and secured the role of Tucker after a brief audition with only seven script pages, a role that would span all 98 episodes across four seasons and earn him two Saturn Award nominations for Best Supporting Actor in 2002 and 2003. Following the series’ cancellation in 2005, Trinneer continued to appear in guest roles on shows such as Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, 24, and returned to the Stargate franchise as the Wraith Michael in Stargate Atlantis. He also co‑hosted The Shuttlepod Show podcast with fellow Enterprise alum Dominic Keating from 2022‑2024, later launching The D‑Con Chamber in April 2024. In 2023, he reprised his beloved Trip Tucker character in the animated web series Star Trek: Very Short Treks episode “Holograms, All the Way Down,” celebrating the franchise’s 50th anniversary. Trinneer’s personal life includes his marriage to Ariana Navarre in 2004, the birth of their son on October 11, 2005, a divorce in 2022, and a subsequent marriage to realtor Jackie Robbins Smith on November 9, 2024.
