Christa Miller

Christa Miller (née Miller; born May 28, 1964) is an American actress and former child model whose career spans more than three decades of television comedy. Raised in a family with acting ties—her aunt is the celebrated actress Susan Saint James—Miller began modeling at a young age until a benign bone‑tumor operation forced a temporary pause. After attending the Convent of the Sacred Heart, she returned briefly to the runway before deciding to pursue acting, enrolling in lessons and ultimately relocating to Los Angeles in 1990 to chase screen opportunities. Her television debut arrived on Kate & Allie, a sitcom that also featured her aunt, giving Miller her first professional credit and a glimpse of the industry’s demands. Early guest spots followed on series such as Northern Exposure, The Fresh Prince of Bel‑Air, and Party of Five, allowing her to hone a versatile presence that would later become a hallmark of her work.

The breakthrough that defined Miller’s comedic identity came with two memorable appearances on Seinfeld. In 1993 she played the prospective boss of George Costanza in “The Sniffing Accountant,” and two years later returned as George’s girlfriend Paula in “The Doodle.” These roles impressed co‑creator Larry David, whose encouragement helped her land the part of Kate O’Brien on The Drew Carey Show, a role she inhabited from 1995 to 2002 and for which she is still fondly remembered.
