Charlie Bouguenon

Charles “Charlie” Bouguenon is a South African actor born on 30 June 1983 in South Africa, hailing from a lineage of classical musicians; both his father and grandfather were devoted performers, which introduced him to the world of music at an early age. He began studying violin and music theory at four years old, but his passion gradually shifted toward dramatic arts during his school years, where he was an active member of multiple dramatic societies and regularly appeared on stage. After completing secondary education, Bouguenon pursued formal training in drama at the University of Pretoria, simultaneously earning a teacher’s diploma in Latin American and Ballroom dance and a specialized certificate in stage combat, a combination that would later enhance his versatility on both screen and stage. His professional career launched in 2004, and by 2008 he secured a role in the popular South African television serial Scandal!, followed by appearances in other notable local productions such as Jozi Streets and Egoli.
