Camille Chen (Chinese: 卡蜜兒陳) is a Taiwanese-American actress born in Taipei, Taiwan, but raised in the U.S. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, she began her career doing voiceover work for the English version of anime television series such as Lost Universe and Devil Lady. In 2000 and 2002, Chen landed her first feature film roles as Miss New Hampshire in Miss Congeniality and as a cheerleader in The New Guy, respectively. Her notable breakthrough came from the recurring role as Samantha Li on Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (2006-2007). In addition, she guest-starred on an episode of Law & Order in 2009. She has a diverse career, starring in plays, independent pilots, and television series. Chen has also addressed the importance of breaking down barriers and the need of diverse roles for Asian actors.
