Bryan Lee Cranston, born on March 7, 1956, is a prominent American actor and filmmaker. Predominantly known for his roles as Walter White in the AMC crime drama series Breaking Bad (2008–2013) and Hal in the Fox sitcom Malcolm in the Middle (2000–2006), Cranston's performances have bagged him a plethora of awards, including six Primetime Emmy Awards, two Tony Awards, and two Golden Globes. In addition, he has received nominations for an Academy Award and a BAFTA Award. Johnson in the Broadway play All the Way (2014) and portraying Howard Beale in the play Network, for which he received the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor and his second Tony Award.
