Brandon Stewart

Brandon Stewart (born May 16, 1986) is an American former professional football defensive back whose career spanned over a decade in the Canadian Football League (CFL). Raised in Seattle, Washington, Stewart displayed athletic talent early, excelling in high school football before attending Eastern Arizona College, where he honed the skills that would later define his defensive play. In 2007 he signed his first professional contract with the Calgary Stampeders, appearing in two games and recording two tackles, a modest start that foreshadowed a resilient journey through the league. After two seasons in Calgary, Stewart entered free agency and secured a pivotal five‑year stint with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in February 2009, where he became a regular fixture in the secondary, known for his speed, tackling precision, and ability to read offensive formations. His tenure in Winnipeg solidified his reputation, and in 2014 he signed with the Hamilton Tiger‑Cats, adding two more seasons of consistent performance and contributing to special teams.
