Bokeem Woodbine (born April 13, 1973) is an accomplished American actor. In his early career in 1994, Woodbine gave a stellar performance as Joshua, the protagonist's conflicted brother in 'Jason's Lyric'. His impressive acting portfolio includes a notable role as Kansas City mob enforcer Mike Milligan in the second season of Fargo, a performance that earned him a Black Reel Award, and nominations for a Primetime Emmy Award and a Critics' Choice Television Award. Besides these, Woodbine also played Daniel in season 2 of the WGN series Underground, Herman Schultz/Shocker in the film Spider-Man: Homecoming, and saxophonist David 'Fathead' Newman in the Oscar-winning Ray Charles biopic Ray. His career was launched after being spotted in the CBS Schoolbreak Special entitled 'Love Off Limits'. His significant break came when he was recommended by casting director Jaki Brown-Karman to Forest Whitaker for the HBO television movie Strapped.
Across his career, Woodbine has worked with influential African-American filmmakers, including Spike Lee, Mario Van Peebles, and the Hughes Brothers. He had a memorable part in Tupac Shakur's music video 'I Ain't Mad at Cha' and later reunited with Shakur in Vondie Curtis-Hall's directorial debut, Gridlock'd. He was featured as a regular on the NBC sitcom Battery Park and the CBS medical drama City of Angels; the latter earned him an NAACP Image Award nomination. In recent years, he has made minor appearances in several TV series and films such as the Fox's crime drama Bones and ABC's cop drama The Evidence. He furthermore, received critical acclaim for his role as Mike Milligan in Fargo.
