Bert Kreischer

Bert Kreischer (born Albert Charles Kreischer Jr. on November 3, 1972) is an American stand‑up comedian, podcaster, reality‑television host and actor whose larger‑than‑life persona has made him a staple of modern comedy. Raised in Tampa after being born in St. Petersburg, Florida, he attended Jesuit High School and later majored in English at Florida State University, where he gained notoriety as “the top partyer” at the nation’s #1 party school—a story that was chronicled in a six‑page Rolling Stone feature in 1997. That exposure launched his career, prompting a move to New York City where a tape of his first set earned him an agent and a stint working the door at the now‑defunct Boston Comedy Club. Known for his shirtless storytelling style, Kreischer’s most famous routine, “The Machine,” recounts a wild college trip to Russia that allegedly involved the Russian mafia and a train robbery, a narrative later adapted into a 2023 film. Over the years he has released multiple comedy specials on both Comedy Central and Netflix, including Bert Kreischer: Comfortably Dumb (2009), The Machine (2016), Secret Time (2018), Hey Big Boy (2020), Razzle Dazzle (2023), and the upcoming Lucky (2025).
