Amandla Stenberg

**Amandla Stenberg** (born October 23, 1998) is an American actress who started her acting journey as a child with the film Colombiana in 2011. She has played supporting roles in The Hunger Games (2012), the supernatural series Sleepy Hollow (2013–2014), and the sitcom Mr. Robinson (2015). As an adult, Stenberg had starring roles in Everything, Everything (2017), The Hate U Give (2018), Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022), and The Acolyte (2024). Stenberg is vocal in her activism for LGBT youth and has also ventured into music with the folk rock duo Honeywater in 2015. Amandla is of African-American and Danish descent, with Greenlandic Inuit ancestry from her paternal grandmother. Her acting portfolio has continued to expand, with roles in films such as Beyoncé: Lemonade (2016), and series such as Netflix's The Eddy (2019). Stenberg's personal life has been marked by her coming out as bisexual, then identifying as non-binary, and finally coming out as gay. She is an outspoken intersectional feminist, and has been recognized multiple times for her influence among teens.
