Alyssa Chia Ching-wen, widely known as Alyssa Chia, was born on 7 October 1974 in Taipei, Taiwan, and quickly emerged as a charismatic presence in the Mandarin‑speaking entertainment world. She began her formal training at the prestigious Beijing Film Academy, but left before graduating to return to Taiwan where a family‑centric decision and a lucrative offer from a local company beckoned her back.
