Alfonso Tort

Alfonso Tort Guida (born 6 September 1978 in Montevideo, Uruguay) is a celebrated Uruguayan actor whose career has spanned more than two decades, marked by a blend of independent cinema and television projects that have helped shape modern Uruguayan storytelling. He grew up in the Punta Gorda neighbourhood as the son of architects and toy‑workshop owners Hugo Tort and Beatriz Guida, an environment that fostered both creative curiosity and a strong work ethic. During his childhood he attended Escuela N° 17, Colegio Latinoamericano and Liceo Joaquín Suárez, and even played soccer for the local Huracán Buceo team, reflecting a typical Montevidean upbringing before turning toward the arts. After completing high school, Tort briefly pursued psychomotor education before abandoning that path to enroll in the Margarita Xirgu Multidisciplinary School of Dramatic Art in 2000, where he received formal training that would launch his professional journey.
