Aleksa Palladino

Aleksa Palladino (born September 21, 1980) is an accomplished American actress and singer. Known for her lead roles in 'Manny & Lo', 'The Adventures of Sebastian Cole', 'Find Me Guilty' and in the HBO crime series 'Boardwalk Empire' as Angela Darmody, her performances have been compelling and held high regard in the film industry. Adding to her acting repertoire, she was also seen in 'Wrong Turn 2: Dead End', 'Before the Devil Knows You're Dead', 'The Midnight Swim', 'The Irishman' and 'No Man of God'. Her acting skills were further demonstrated in the second season of the AMC period drama 'Halt and Catch Fire'. It's noteworthy that she harmoniously blends her singing contributions with her acting. From 2007 to 2018, she was one half of the dreampop duo Exitmusic alongside her then-husband Devon Church, releasing the albums 'The Decline of the West', 'Passage' and 'The Recognitions'. Born in New York City, Palladino came from an artistically rich family. Her sophisticated acting was perhaps influenced by her grandmother, a Sicilian painter and sculptor, and her Italian-American illustrator and graphic designer grandfather. Palladino demonstrated immense maturity in her debut role as 'Lo' in 'Manny & Lo', where she portrayed a 16-year-old character despite being just 14 at the time. Throughout the 2000s, she starred in 'Red Dirt', 'Lonesome' and 'Storytelling' with Selma Blair and also appeared in 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent', 'The Sopranos', and 'Law & Order'. Her musical journey alongside her acting career was just as focused. She was the lead singer and songwriter of the band Exitmusic, releasing their debut album in 2007 and follow-ups in 2011 and 2012.
