Why? (Czech: Proč?) is a 1987 Czechoslovak drama directed by Karel Smyczek. It screened in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes in 1988. The film explores football hooliganism in Czechoslovakia, focusing on Sparta Prague supporters who pioneered fan riots as early as the 1960s, including notorious incidents such as breaking the trains used for away matches.
