Two timelines weave through a single house, each layer revealing how a dark past refuses to stay buried and how fear can echo across decades. In the winter of the past, a young novice is brought back to the convent by a chauffeur who says she does not feel well. It soon becomes clear that she has been raped. The police are called, but they hesitate to act, deterred by the offender’s immense wealth and status. The nuns burn with righteous fury and demand justice, while the victim reaches out to her trusted novice sister for help, because the offender promises to marry her if she remains silent.
