Hari’s journey into the virtual world is deeply influenced by his grandfather, a wise and powerful Black magician. His grandfather’s teachings about black magic and the essence of information technology are woven into the film’s core philosophy, symbolizing a blending of ancient mystical traditions with modern digital realities.

Hari’s character is introspective and somewhat withdrawn, often staying late at the office, wandering through the digital universe he has come to master. He constructs a virtual force field, a homage to his grandfather’s beliefs, which he names the World Wide Zone of Vaarthali—a virtual domain that signifies both protection and chaos. Interestingly, his version of Vaarthali diverges from traditional worship; he visualizes her with the head of a boar and the body of a woman, a symbolic image that reflects the film’s deeper themes of distortion and transformation.

The plot thickens as Hari encounters Ramani, an enigmatic figure played by Reghoothaman, an enchantress who exists both in the cyber domain and in her own mysterious, shadowy world. She is portrayed as an invisible lady marked by a distinctive scar, a rootless wanderer who drifts in and out of Hari’s digital sphere. She is a performer and a vagabond, often seen seated on a wheel chair with her own web portal, inviting viewers into her performance. Hari’s fascination with Ramani grows, especially as her image keeps shifting every time she appears, raising questions in his mind about her true nature. Was she created by chance, or is she a programmed illusion? Their virtual relationship intensifies, although Ramani constantly evades direct contact, heightening Hari’s suspicions that she might be involved in something illicit or illicitly connected to creative digital chaos.

Meanwhile, Reghoothaman’s Ramani is depicted as a captivating figure, dancing and singing in a dream sequence where her identity remains elusive and her background obscure. She seems to embody the archetype of the virtual criminal—a modern-day Cleopatra reigning on her wheel chair throne, alluring yet untouchable—an idea Hari finds both fascinating and disturbing. Parallel to Hari’s story, the film recounts a mystical episode involving Arundathi Singha’s character, a wise woman who sees visions and begins to perceive the overarching divine struggle. A significant sequence occurs when Reghoothaman’s character, Kunjukuttan Nair, stumbles upon an otherworldly scene during a nighttime journey through the forest. He witnesses an intriguing figure—seated on a swing, singing, and lost in thought—who suddenly leaps into a pond and disappears. This mysterious encounter triggers a relentless game of hide and seek spanning six days and nights across various ponds, where the enchanted woman eludes capture with elusive movements and magical vanishings.

Kunjukuttan Nair ultimately captures her with a magical spell, and she is subdued in service to Vaarthali, a fierce goddess. Her presence and the goddess’s demands evoke a premonition of sacrifice—foretelling impending death. As the narrative unfolds, Kunjukuttan perceives that it might be himself who is destined for sacrifice. In a final act of conviction, driven by visions of the goddess’s wrath, he plunges a sword into his navel, then, overwhelmed with fear, mutilates himself by slashing his erect penis and offering it as a blood sacrifice to Vaarthali.
