Sankashta Kara Ganapathi 2018

Ganapati Likith Shetty is a young man who lives with his retired father. Despite his father’s objections, he quits his job and becomes a cartoonist at a newspaper publishing house. At his new workplace, he meets Shruti Shruti Goradia, a former classmate he had a crush on during college, who works as a sales and marketing manager there.

Encouraged by a well-meaning friend, Ganapati decides to propose to Shruti. When he gathers the courage to approach her, he experiences a panic attack and faints. Shruti takes him to the hospital, where he opens up about liking her in college. However, Shruti reveals that her marriage has already been fixed with Raghu, a development that complicates Ganapati’s feelings.

An operational mistake during treatment leads to Ganapati developing Alien Hand Syndrome. His left hand moves involuntarily, causing a string of comic and awkward situations that complicate his daily life and his work. In the midst of this, he draws a controversial cartoon of a politician, which sparks a fierce backlash from the politician’s supporters and results in the sudden termination of his job. Shruti stands by him, showing sympathy for his illness and his artistic struggle.

Ganapati attends Shruti’s wedding but inadvertently disrupts the ceremony when his left hand grabs Shruti’s hand, triggering a scandal and forcing the wedding to be called off. The two of them begin to meet in secret, but Shruti’s father—Manjunath Hegde—soon discovers their meetings and pursues them. A dramatic moment follows when Ganapati’s restless hand turns the steering wheel, causing an accident that leaves Shruti badly injured. Shruti’s father asks Ganapati to stay out of her life, adding a heavy obstacle to their romance.

Undeterred, Ganapati moves forward and rebuilds his career, later becoming a successful cartoonist at a comic publishing company. The family’s dynamics shift as Shruti’s father struggles to find a suitable match for his daughter, but ultimately he cannot deny the bond that has formed between Shruti and Ganapati and agrees to their marriage, letting love and art guide them toward a hopeful future.
