Spoilers ahead
NightCry unfolds largely aboard the Oceanus, a luxurious ocean liner that becomes the battleground for a malevolent entity known as the Scissor Walker Natsuki Minami. The story is structured into three chapters, each granting players control of a different protagonist as the ship sails toward an unseen dread.
In Chapter 1, the stage centers on Monica Flores, a lady being set up for a date on the cruise. The tone blends intrigue and danger as the ship’s festivities unravel under the looming threat, and the Scissor Walker looms closer to striking as the night progresses. The passenger list and crew dynamics tighten the sense of isolation at sea, where every corridor might hide a clue or a trap.
