Maxime, Clovis Cornillac is the overwhelmed boss of an ambulance company who feels boxed in by a marriage that has gone sour after he discovers his wife has deceived him. He refuses to forgive her, and the weight of that betrayal shadows every day, coloring his decisions and shaping his outlook on life. Then a harder truth lands: his mother Olga, [Josiane Balasko], a woman with a fierce sense of independence who refuses to bow to a world as it is, has landed in jail after defending another woman in a brawl. The family fragments around Maxime’s anger and disappointment, and the sight of Olga in custody becomes a catalyst that rattles the whole household.
