Spoilers ahead
During the 1980s and 1990s, Oslo sees a new breed of criminals that is more international and more dangerous than the city has ever witnessed. The rise of Norwegian drug kingpins sets their sights on the growing immigrant gangs who crave a share of heroin profits for themselves. A looming battle promises bloodshed before any stable balance can take hold. Against this volatile backdrop, three immigrant boys growing up on the east side of Oslo—Wasim [Emil Marwa], Riaz [Assad Siddique], and Munawar [Khawar Gomi Sadiq]—search for belonging and the respect they feel they deserve as Norwegians. School feels like a drag, and the thrill of the street calls louder, pulling them toward the East Side Crew, led by local petty criminals Sadiq [Daud Mirza] and his brother Khalid [Elyas Mohammed].
