What Is Going Blind About?

The premise of Going Blind without spoilers.

Sinan, a poet who lost his sight at the age of three, finds peace in his blindness. His wife, Nilgün, hopes to restore his vision and persuades him to undergo surgery. The operation is initially successful, but Sinan soon experiences unsettling complications as he adapts to seeing. Nilgün believes these issues stem from his previous blindness and pressures him to fully embrace his new sight. This mounting tension leads to a dramatic confrontation as they question each other's perspectives, complicated by the doctor's warning that a second surgery is necessary to prevent a return to complete blindness.
