Blasted Echo Score Breakdown

Blasted presents a mixed viewing experience, with modest entertainment value tempered by uneven execution. Critics and users note moments of lively humor and inventive sci‑fi concepts, yet recurring issues with pacing, narrative coherence, and production polish undermine its impact. While some viewers find the film enjoyable enough for a repeat watch, the overall consensus leans toward an average impression rather than strong endorsement.

Our own 0–100 rating, built from five aspects: art, character, story, the sensory experience and how well a film rewatches.

  • Art & Craft 55

In terms of direction and visual craft, the film displays flashes of competent set pieces but suffers from inconsistent editing and low‑budget effects. Reviewers point to effective police‑station scenes and a notable monster design, yet criticize the overall look as resembling a dated TV movie. The net impression is a modestly skilled but uneven artistic execution.

  • Character & Emotion 60

Character work receives a blend of praise and criticism. Several comments highlight likable leads, strong comic timing, and noticeable growth among the ensemble, while others describe the cast as unengaging or even hateful. Acting is generally seen as adequate for a comedy, though the lack of a compelling hero limits emotional resonance. Overall, character dynamics are moderately effective.

  • Story & Flow 50

The narrative is judged as both entertaining and flawed. Some reviewers enjoy the premise of a laser‑tag alien encounter and find the plot amusing, but many note a lagging middle, unnecessary beats, and predictability that weaken coherence. The originality of the concept is acknowledged, yet pacing issues and weak structural elements produce an average storytelling assessment.

  • Sensory Experience 55

Sensory elements such as sound and visual style receive mixed feedback. Viewers commend occasional effective effects, including a memorable monster design, but also point out subpar VFX and a soundtrack that does not consistently elevate scenes. The film’s visual tone occasionally succeeds in delivering comic impact, yet overall sensory quality remains uneven.

  • Rewatch Factor 58

Rewatch appeal is modestly positive. Some audiences state they would gladly view the film again for its light‑hearted humor and quirky moments, while others find it boring and recommend against repeat viewings. The film's novelty and occasional laughs encourage limited replay value, but narrative and technical shortcomings keep the overall rewatch factor from reaching higher levels.
