What Is 1 Million Zombies: The Story of Plaga Zombie About?
The premise of 1 Million Zombies: The Story of Plaga Zombie without spoilers.
In 1997, Pablo Parés and Hernan Sáez, two 17-year-old filmmakers from Buenos Aires, created a low-budget zombie epic with just $450. Shot on VHS, their film quickly gained international cult recognition and demonstrated the potential of extreme DIY horror. Over two decades, Parés and Sáez, along with their friends, expanded their universe with two increasingly elaborate and visually intense sequels, as well as several short films. The filmmakers have been hailed as “Argentinian George Romeros,” building a unique and influential collection of gore films.
