Thad Luckinbill

Thaddeus Rowe Luckinbill, known professionally as Thad Luckinbill, is an American actor and producer renowned for his portrayal of J.T. Hellstrom on the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless from August 1999 to November 2010, reprising the role multiple times in the subsequent years. Born on April 24, 1975, in Enid, Oklahoma, Thad has an identical twin brother, Trent, who is a lawyer living in Los Angeles. Thad's role in the entertainment industry extends beyond acting, he has made a name for himself as a producer as well. His personal life became intertwined with his professional one when he married Amelia Heinle, his co-star from The Young and the Restless. He is a stepfather to Heinle's son, and the couple has two children together, Thaddeus Rowe and Georgia March. Despite filing for divorce in 2017 citing 'irreconcilable differences', the divorce had not finalized by the end of 2019. Thad is athletic, engaging in sports like volleyball, surfing and boxing. He occasionally plays for the Hollywood Knights basketball team and is an alumnus of the University of Oklahoma where he majored in business finance. He is also related to fellow actor Laurence Luckinbill. Aside from The Young and the Restless, Thad has made appearances on several primetime shows including Undressed, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Providence, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, Nash Bridges, 8 Simple Rules, Without a Trace, CSI: NY, Nip/Tuck, Ghost Whisperer, CSI: Miami, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and Major Crimes. Additionally, Thad Luckinbill has extended his talents into production. He started a production company called Black Label Media in 2013 with his twin brother Trent and producer Molly Smith, and has produced critically acclaimed films such as Sicario, The Good Lie, and Demolition.
