Steven Williams, born January 7, 1949, is a distinguished American actor recognized for his diverse roles across film and television. He is especially known for his performances in 21 Jump Street, The Equalizer, L.A. Heat, The X-Files, Linc's and Supernatural. His acting career, which began in 1975, has encompassed a wide range of films such as The Blues Brothers, Twilight Zone: The Movie, Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday, 22 Jump Street, It, and Birds of Prey. He has been nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award and one NAACP Image Award. Williams was drafted into the United States Army and became Divisional Champion with the United States Army Boxing Team, Middleweight Division. After an Honourable Discharge, he worked for the USPS as a mailman. Williams made his acting debut in the 1975 film Cooley High and subsequently landed significant roles in various series and films. His work on The X-Files earned him a Screen Actors Guild nomination and his act in Linc's got him an NAACP Image Award nomination. Throughout his life, he has also appeared in guest roles on several television shows.
