She sprung into the global spotlight for her stunning performance as Shiv Roy in the HBO hit series, Succession (2018–2023). Her portrayal of the character won her two prestigious Golden Globe Awards and a Primetime Emmy Award, which are a testament to her indomitable talent. Her talent extends beyond the small screen though: she won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in the West End revival of The Picture of Dorian Gray (2024) among other theatre works she's been involved in like King Lear (2009), The Master Builder (2016) and Saint Joan (2018).

In film, she strengthened her acting credentials with leading roles in Sisters of War (2010) and Predestination (2014). Her performances earned her two AACTA Awards, signifying her growing influence in the industry. Some other notable features she acted in include Not Suitable for Children (2012), These Final Hours (2013), The Dressmaker (2015), The Glass Castle (2017) and Pieces of a Woman (2020). A highlight in 2024 was when Snook returned to the West End, expertly portraying all 26 roles in the Sydney Theatre Company production of The Picture of Dorian Gray, earning her high praise and another Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress.
