Gregório Duvivier

Gregório Byington Duvivier, born on April 11, 1986 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is a multifaceted Brazilian talent known primarily as an actor, comedian, and poet. He hails from a richly artistic family: his father, Edgar Duvivier, is a musician and visual artist, while his mother, Olivia Byington, is a celebrated singer, and his aunt Bianca Byington is a respected actress. On his paternal side he traces lineage to the 19th‑century urban pioneer Theodore Duvivier, and on his maternal side his great‑great‑grandmother was the philanthropist Pérola Byington, underscoring a heritage steeped in cultural influence. From the age of nine he began formal acting studies at the renowned Tablado school, laying the groundwork for a lifelong passion for performance. Before enrolling at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, where he earned a degree in Literature, Duvivier joined fellow comedians Marcelo Adnet, Fernando Caruso, and Rafael Queiroga in the improvisational comedy troupe Z.É. – Zenas Emprovi­das, marking his first foray into professional comedy. His career truly accelerated when he became a core member of the groundbreaking YouTube comedy collective Porta dos Fundos, where his satirical sketches earned widespread acclaim across Brazil and the Lusophone world.
