Brad Hall, born William Bradford Hall on March 21, 1958 in Santa Barbara, California, is a multifaceted American entertainer whose career spans more than four decades across sketch comedy, television writing, directing, and film acting. He first gained national attention as a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1982 to 1984, where he not only performed a variety of characters—including the memorable Human Stapler and Larry Rolans—but also anchored the early version of Weekend Update, then called Saturday Night News, showcasing his sharp timing and satirical edge. After leaving SNL, Hall leveraged his comedic instincts to co‑create and produce the sitcom The Single Guy and later Watching Ellie, both of which demonstrated his ability to blend humor with relatable character dynamics.
