Bailee Madison

Bailee Madison (born October 15, 1999 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida) is an American actress and singer who began her career literally two weeks after birth, appearing in a national Office Depot commercial. Over the next decade she became one of the most recognizable child performers in Hollywood, transitioning from commercial work for Disney, SeaWorld and Cadillac to substantive film roles such as May Belle Aarons in the critically acclaimed Bridge to Terabithia (2007). Her performance in the war drama Brothers (2009) earned her a Critics' Choice Movie Award nomination for Best Young Performer and solidified her reputation for nuanced portrayals despite her youth. Madison continued to balance mainstream comedies like Just Go with It (2011) and Parental Guidance (2012) with genre projects, notably starring as Sally Hurst in the horror film Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark (2010), which received praise from Roger Ebert for its effective suspense. In television, Madison proved her versatility by taking on recurring roles in The Haunting Hour: The Series (2010–2012), embodying a youthful Snow White in Once Upon a Time (2012–2016), and tackling the complex character Sophia Quinn in the socially conscious drama The Fosters (2014–2015). She later anchored the sitcom Trophy Wife (2013–2014) and became a staple of Hallmark’s Good Witch franchise, playing Grace Russell from 2015 through 2021. The actress reinvigorated her “scream queen” status with the lead role of Imogen Adams in the HBO Max series Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin (2022–2024), earning critical acclaim for her ability to convey both vulnerability and resilience. Beyond acting, Madison launched a music career in 2024 with the pop singles “Kinda Fun” and “Chiller,” and she has authored the young‑adult novel Losing Brave (2018). A dedicated philanthropist, she has served as the national youth spokesperson for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation since 2010, and she co‑hosts the podcast Just Between Us with her sister Kaitlin Vilasuso. Her multicultural background—American by birth and Canadian through her father—has granted her dual citizenship, enriching her personal narrative as she continues to evolve in the entertainment industry.
