Audrey Tautou

Audrey Justine Tautou, born on 9 August 1976 in Beaumont, Puy-de-Dôme, France, is a highly acclaimed French actress, stepping into the acting world at the age of 18. Tautou first burst onto the scene, winning the César Award for Most Promising Actress with her breakthrough performance in Venus Beauty Institute (1999). Her international recognition solidified in 2001 when she took on the lead role in the critically acclaimed box-office success, Amélie. Over the years, Tautou has demonstrated her versatility as an actress, dabbling across multiple genres from thrillers like Dirty Pretty Things (2002) and The Da Vinci Code (2006), to romantic comedies, and dramas such as her applauded role in the World War I drama A Very Long Engagement (2004).
