Andrea Bang, born on May 2nd, 1989, is a recognized Canadian actress and screenwriter hailing from Burnaby, British Columbia. She catapulted to fame due to her portrayal of Janet Kim in the CBC comedy 'Kim's Convenience.' This notable performance led to her securing three nominations at the prestigious Canadian Screen Awards. Her acting prowess isn't exclusive to 'Kim's Convenience,' as it has been demonstrated in other television shows such as 'A Million Little Things,' 'Fresh,' and 'Running with Violet.' Bang was born to Korean parents who had migrated to British Columbia. She shares her passion for acting and writing with her sister, Diana Bang. Bang's educational journey took her to Burnaby North Secondary School, where she participated in the chorus of 'Bye Bye Birdie.' Her acting interests remained a secret, while she pursued a psychology degree at the University of British Columbia.
