Aishwarya Lekshmi, born on 6 September 1990, is an Indian actress and producer primarily working in the Malayalam and Tamil film industry. She has marked her presence with a one Filmfare Award South, one Kerala Film Critics Association Award, and three SIIMA Awards. Her acting journey began in the 2017 movie Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela, earning her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South. Her acclaim grew with performances in Varathan (2018), Kaanekkaane (2021), and Ponniyin Selvan: I (2022), which is her highest grossing release. Besides acting, Lekshmi also ventured into modeling since 2014 appearing for brands such as Chemmanur Jewellers, Karikkineth Silks, La Brenda, Ezva Boutique, Akshaya Jewels, and Sri Lakshmi Jewellery, among others. Lekshmi, who admittedly 'never planned on acting', marked her successful career journey through a variety of performances. She is particularly noted for her roles in Gargi, Ponniyin Selvan: I and Gatta Kusthi, earning commercial success. Recognition of her talent extended to Archana 31 Not Out, Ammu and Kumari, portraying a diverse range of characters. She received accolades for her role in the film Gatta Kusthi, in which she played a wrestler opposite Vishnu Vishal and was named the Kochi Times Most Desirable Women in both 2018 and 2019.
